Ronald McDonald House Long Island

Beneficiary: The Ronald McDonald House of Long Island

The House is a home-away-from home for the families of seriously ill children who are undergoing medical care at local hospitals. We are a 42 bedroom facility located on the campus of the Steven and Alexandra Cohen Children’s Medical Center of New York, formerly known as Schneider Children’s Hospital in New Hyde Park.

Since opening in 1986 we have been a comfortable and caring place for more than 14,000 families. The majority of families who stay with us are from the surrounding communities. Other families come from across the country and around the world. The House is a not-for-profit 501(c) 3 corporation that relies on financial support from the community. All day-to-day costs for running the House are supported through fundraisers, legislative grants and the generosity of donors.
